Covid-19 Protocols

Dear Patient,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health.  Our lives have been uprooted over the last few months and we are all looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines.  While many things have changed, one thing that remains the same is our commitment to your oral health and safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our office.  We follow infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the US Center for Disease Control (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).  We follow the activities of these agencies so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable.

In light of these new circumstances, you will see some changes when it is time for your next appointment.  We made these changes to ensure your safety and our own.

Prior to your visit:

All staff members will have their temperature taken daily.

Our office will communicate with you to ask questions that will help inform us of your current health.  You will be asked these same questions again upon your arrival to the office.

If you are not feeling well or have been in contact with a Covid positive or suspected positive person, we will ask you to please reschedule your appointment in 14 days.

Upon Arrival to our Office

We will ask that you wait in your car until you can be seated directly into the operatory.

We will ask you to wear a face covering and will take your temperature with a non-contact thermometer.

There will be hand sanitizer for you to use on arrival and departure from the office.

There will be an oral rinse for you to take before the beginning of your procedure.

As always, dental equipment and surfaces will be thoroughly sterilized and disinfected between patients.

We will be utilizing additional air purifiers to reduce microbial population.

We may use extra oral suction devices to reduce the spread of aerosols.

We look forward to welcoming you back and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are taking to keep you and every patient safe in our practice.  To make an appointment, please call our office at 914-949-9248 (WHY-WAIT).  We will try to make the transition to the “new normal” as easy as possible.

Thank you for being our patient, neighbor, and friend. We value your trust and loyalty.
